Sacred Valley Tour - Full Day

At 7:30 a.m. we will pick you up at your hotel Take with you a small bag pack (30lts.) with jacket, water, sunblock and camera; we leave the city of Cusco by bus over “San Miguel Pass” and 45 minutes later we will be at the archaeological center of Pisac. There you will know the advanced architecture of the Incas. Many thought it was a fortress, but now we know that it was a «royal farm» that belonged to the Inca Pachacutec. Composed of platforms, domestic structures and aqueducts. In Pisac, you must visit its craft market where you will buy beautiful unique souvenirs.

At noon we will have a buffet lunch in Urubamba; You will enjoy traditional Peruvian cuisine. Urubamba was known for being one of the main agricultural centers of the Inca Empire. Today, the best corn in the world is harvested there.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Ollantaytambo INCA fortress, which has become an important strategic military center, as well as the agricultural and religious centers necessary to control the entire sacred valley of the Inca. This archaeological site was built as a terrace overlaid with huge carved stones.

On the way back to Cusco, we will visit Chinchero, a tower known for Our Lady of Monserrat, a church built in the Tupac Yupanqui palace in 1607 and we also visit “The Andenería” (Inca terraces) and its market.

NOTE.- If you extent your tour to Machu Picchu, from Ollantaytambo you’ll ride the train for 1:45 hours to the town of Aguas Calientes.
